Winter Menu and Cassoulet

Winter is  here!! Sweaters are a must wear, and rich and warming winter dishes are now on the menu.   It is officially Cassoulet season!!!  This traditional meat stew has different ingredients depending on the region you are in, and ours hails from Toulouse.  The Toulouse Cassoulet is a rich lamb stew with white beans, confit duck leg, and Toulouse style sausage, lightly sweet and spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.  This dish is a MUST HAVE.  Bistrot is also featuring Bœuf Bourguignon, a rich red wine braised short rib, as well as a delicious winter chicken dish with rosemary and root vegetables.  We have recently added a delicious goat cheese croquette with wild mushrooms, as well as a succulent seared scallop entree, paired with winter citrus like Meyer lemons and kumquats.  Along with our perennial mainstays like our Millefeuille and Oeuf de Pecheur, your next meal is a guaranteed delight.  Stop by soon to try out some of our winter specialties.
